Job Title: Accounts Team Leader- full time permanent role

Salary: €45k plus benefits

Location: Dublin west (own transport required)

Option of hybrid working arrangement after probation – 1 day home / 4 days office

Description of Role:

Our client is a well-established engineering firm and due to expansion, they are now seeking an Account Lead to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accounts payable and accounts receivable team for our client. He/she will report directly to the Group Finance Director.

Requirements:

• Must have a qualification/degree in accounting or be qualified by experience

• Must have 3 + years‘ experience working within accounts payable and receivable in a fast-paced environment

• Experience within accounts in a construction / engineering company an advantage

• Excellent organisation skills with ability to prioritise workload

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

• Computer Skills: Excellent Excel skills required

• Candidate must be a team player, who is proactive, flexible and interested in working within a dynamic, changing and fast paced environment

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Managing and overseeing the daily operations and team of 2 staff, in the accounts payable / receivable department

• Ensure accounts payable and receivable processes and controls are documented in line with group policy and are being implemented

• Processing sales invoices for PPM Contracts

• Bank Reconciliations

• Overseeing credit control in maintenance department to ensure timely collection of balances owed

• Overseeing all maintenance billing and ensure each month that all service dockets have been billed in a timely manner

• Overseeing all small jobs are claimed on due dates

• Reconciliation of credit card bank statements

• Subcontractor payments – Liaising with QS Department and ensuring all subcontractors are paid in a timely manner.

• Managing of closing of reconciling items in a timely manner, escalating any material open items for resolution
