Description of Role:

 

Our client is now seeking a business development account manager for a consultancy firm focused on international development and special economic zones.

  • The role is to work with a long-established organisation with a wealth of experience and success within this area. A varied and interesting position the business development account manager will be responsible for reviewing and analysing international opportunities as they become known (eg as a result of world bank funding announcements or development aid announcements and donor funding agencies).

  • The BD Account manager will work with the directors and senior leadership team to build relationships with international development agencies and establish the scope of the project, the needs and wants of the bodies involved and subsequently prepare tender bids, quotes and proposals.

  • This organisation has a strong proven track record in delivering comprehensive projects particularly within the area of Free Zones and Special Economic Zones.

 

Requirements:

  • Suitable candidates will have business or economics qualifications and will have worked within economic development and ideally have a keen understanding of Free Zones and Special Economic Zones.

  • This role will require excellent communication skills, relationship building skills, together with comprehensive admin and project management experience.

  • This role will require candidates to be based in Ireland (Dublin or Munster), the role is hybrid office and remote working with occasional international travel.

 

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

 

The Business Development Manager will be involved in building key client and partner relationships

Identifying potential business opportunities

Generating and following up on leads for potential projects

Preparation and presentation of written proposals

Develop knowledge of business and economic conditions in target economies and regions.
