RecruitmentPlus has a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Executive to work with our client a not-for-profit organisation with offices globally.

The Business Development Executive will work full-time hours from home with occasional travel to Dublin Office for meetings or for client visits as required.

The successful candidate will be tasked with growing the income and customer base for the company in Ireland by developing new business opportunities for the company.


  • Work with the marketing team to create and nurture leads but also use own initiative to generate new opportunities.

  • Research the market and related (and competitive) products.

  • Identify and grow new distribution channels and collaborative opportunities.

  • Identify and maximise new sales opportunities.

  • Contact potential channel partners through cold calls and emails

  • Arrange meetings with potential channel partners to prospect for new business.

  • Maintain an up-to-date CRM system throughout the sales cycle.

  • Manage and track sales performance and pipeline activity.

  • Deliver standard product demonstrations remotely or in person.

  • Respond to all incoming enquiries, referrals and leads in a timely, professional, and effective manner.

  • Represent the organisation at trade exhibitions and events and generate new leads and sales opportunities.

  • Provide market feedback on end user requirements, market trends and potential opportunities.

  • Work cross functionally within the business with Management, Finance and Operations.



  • Own transport and full driving licence as travel nationally is an aspect of this role.

  • At least 3 years Proven work experience in Business Development Sales Account Executive, or similar role.

  • Minimum Level 6 qualification in marketing, business administration or relevant field, a third level degree would be an advantage.

  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills with proven ability to adapt communication style to reflect target audience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong IT skills – ICDL, competent in MS suite applications, and experience with CRM software

  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (from cold calling to meeting people)

  • An energetic self-starter, who is self-motivated and ambitious to succeed.

  • Organised, dependable, and with an ability to work on your own initiative, as well as part of the wider team, to achieve personal and company targets and KPI’s.

  • Able to deliver engaging presentations.

  • Capable of planning ahead
