RecruitmentPlus are now seeking an experienced CAD Technician to work with our client based near Macroom, Co. Cork. The CAD Technician will be responsible for the design using CAD and GIS software to work on renewable energy projects from start to finish.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Assessing the feasibility of sites for renewable energy projects using CAD & GIS software.

• Work on ad-hoc project programmes and deliver to high standards.

• Projects within wind energy /solar energy / battery storage project inception, development, pre-construction, and construction phases.

• Aid in the preparation of design drawings and as-built drawings of new infrastructure to EirGrid/ESBN specifications.

• Preparing engineering, site layout and planning drawings for renewable energy projects, and associated transport and grid connection routes.

Skills/Requirements:

• Ability to collaborate efficiently with other members of the team.

• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office software and CAD. Training will be provided for other requisite software.

• Geographic Information System (GIS) experience is desirable, but training can be provided.

• Good communication skills.

• Willingness to gain experience and improve skills.

• Diligent with excellent attention to detail.
