EHS Officer
RecruitmentPlus are now seeking an experienced EHS Officer to work with our client based in Co. Dublin. This is a 12-month fixed term contract. The EHS Officer, in conjunction with the site management team, this role will control and manage all environmental risks arising from the Company‘s activities, products and services.

Role/Responsibilities:

To co-ordinate, support and advise on EHS guidance for management & employees across two sites in City West.

To establish, manage and monitor that EHS is adhered to, to ensure continual improvement in our Environment, Health, and Safety standards.

Promotion of best practice to engender a proactive approach to EHS culture development and achievement of world-class EHS standards.

To be a key influencer to the Site Leadership Team and challenge, co-ordinate support and guide best practice and forward thinking in all areas of Environment, Health, and Safety.

Build strong collaborative relationships with the site team.

Main point of contact on site in relation to statutory bodies such as the HSA, EPA and third-party stakeholders.

Develop and implement a strategy of continuous improvement in EHS performance based on robust annual improvement plans.

Analyse and interpret data to identify trends and patterns in EHS performance risks.

Know and understand the quality and safety policies.

Build strong collaborative relationships with the site team.

Ensure that actions are carried out rigorously and with pace to address root causes of adverse EHS events.

Lead the WCM EHS Pillar

Support managers and employees in completion of Risk Assessments, SMATs,
-
EMATs and any other SG EHS Tools.

Educate employees on SG EHS tools.
-
In conjunction with HR, promotion of Health and Wellbeing programs across the business ensuring impact assessments are undertaken to identify, assess and reduce the organisation’s risks and financial costs.

Know and understand the quality and safety policies.
Skills/Requirements:
-
Experience in EHS team in a fast-moving environment
-
Proficient with MS Office/SAP/GAIA
-
Ability to think clearly and act decisively when faced with challenges.
-
Ability to challenge and influence at all levels of the organisation to improve in an environment when standards are already very high.

Experience of dealing with EPA audits and managing compliance improvement programs at pace and to a high standard
Salary/Benefits:

€40k-€45k
