RecruitmentPlus has an exciting new opportunity for an Electrical Engineer based in Kingscourt, Co. Cavan. The Electrical Engineer will play a key role in all new projects across the company. They will have overall accountability for the Electrical installations on site.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Lead and work as part of the electrical team, working in a multi-discipline engineering team.

• Provide assistance and technical support to electrical personnel.

• Application and implementation of structured fault-finding techniques.

• Identify and implement improvement ideas, health & safety requirements, obsolete equipment replacement, equipment renewal, etc.

• Assist and lead World Class Manufacturing (WCM) professional maintenance projects.

• Keep abreast of maintenance techniques and introduce same to the plant.

• Develop training aids and provide instruction to electrical personnel.

• Liaise & provide electrical support with the engineering and other disciplines on site.

• Manage & monitor electrical projects, including health, safety & environmental issues.

• Constantly update your knowledge of all statutory and group standards associated with the job remit.

• Keep abreast of latest developments in Electrical Engineering.

• Set up and maintaining Asset SLA‘s where appropriate across the plant.

• To provide dedicated maintenance support for engineering and process development initiatives, including automation, projects, and plant facilities ensuring all Electrical installations, maintenance controls, procedures and documentation is up to date and in line with both company and ISO requirements.

Skills/Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Design Electrical Qualification (Level 8) with min of 5 years‘ experience in a similar environment – Manufacturing etc)

• Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment, min 5 years

• PLC programming with Siemens PLC‘s

• Preventative maintenance systems such as Pemac.

• MS Office, SAP, CAD and WCM/Lean are desirable.

• Demonstrable leadership experience ideally within a unionised environment

• Ability to multitask working towards tight deadlines.

• Demonstrable project management experience

• Proven experience within a WCM/Lean environment is a distinct advantage.
