Role:
Our client is now seeking a Financial Controller to join their team in Dublin.
Excellent opportunity to work in a flexible work environment -office based and remote working.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for the timely production of the monthly results – Monthly Journals, Monthly Maintenance and Overhead Reports, Control Account Reconciliations and other Information Requests.

Monitoring and reviewing key financial data for the site to identify trends and enable operations management to take appropriate and timely actions to deliver the required financial performance.

Ensuring compliance with Company financial systems and procedures
-
Preparing, monitoring and reviewing annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
-
Maintaining, monitoring and reviewing financial data in a timely manner
-
Prepare capital plans with operations management. Prepare capital expenditure models for approval and monitor and review returns.

Ensure Managers are fully briefed in financial matters to meet Department and Company objectives.

Maintenance on Fixed Asset Register .
-
Order Commitments reporting.
-
Forecasting and Ad-hoc Variance Analysis.
-
Review and approve purchase orders
-
Support inventory management and controls.

Point of contact for all insurances for the
-
Point of contact for statutory audit, external auditors
-
Assist with standard cost development for current and new product lines
-
Maintenance of employee expense portal – Concur
-
Liaising with customers and commercial team in relation to Accounts Receivables past due‘s
-
Responsible for bi monthly VAT return preparation and submission
-
Preparation and submission of annual RTD
-
Monthly intrastat reporting
-
Monthly Payroll-Preparation, submission of monthly salaries to payroll SSC and approval there of
-
Support, review and approve submission of monthly hedging deals to corporate treasury
-
Monitoring of local bank account to ensure sufficient cash deposits exist and perform cash request if needed
-
Point of contact for corporation tax returns and payments
-
Point of contact for dividend submission and payment to Corporate and DWT return
-
Carry out any adhoc duties that may be required from time to time.

Comply with the Quality Management System Requirements

As part of the Leadership team, actively contribute and support the roll out of site Annual Plan.

Coach and develop a small team of 2 accounts personnel.
Skills and experience required:
-
Must have a degree qualification or equivalent experience.
-
Qualified ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA
-
Proficient in MS Office
-
Experience on QAD preferred
-
Demonstrable experience in a FC or Snr Operations Accountant role
-
Meticulous- Accuracy and attention to detail.
-
Flexible, analytical and methodical approach to problem solving.
-
Organisation and planning and the ability to work to deadlines.
-
Strong IT skills including systems
-
Excellent accountancy skills
-
Time management and communication skills.
-
Team player – strong influence/persuasion skills.
-
Able and willing to travel as required.

Ability to build close working relationships internally and externally

Systems QAD, Concur desirable
