RecruitmentPlus has a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced manufacturing General Operative to join a market-leading organisation based in Navan, Co. Meath.

This is offered on a permanent basis with full training provided. Weekly rotating shifts 6am – 2.30pm and 2.30pm – 10pm. Experience operating forklift is required along with the ability to undertake and complete training to cover machine operative function, therefore previous experience with manufacturing computer controlled machinery could be an advantage.

Benefits:

€13.65, Weekly pay, increasing annual leave, starting on 23 days, Pension

Role/ Key Responsibilities:

•    Work in all areas of the factory, complete training on all functions of Grade 2 operator, provide cover when required on designated machine operator functions.

•    Ensure area is prepared for start up to include correct labels and packaging.

•    Driving forklift in any of the designated areas in the factory to ensure the line is kept running and vehicles are loaded to meet customers‘ requirements.

•    Cover on all offline machines as and when required, ensure that trailers are shunted into bays in safely, ensure all data to be recorded is accurate and up to date and follow work instructions in all areas.

•    Drive your workflow to ensure the team you are working with is working to a high standard and meeting targets

•    Ensure quality guidelines are followed for all areas.

•    Keep up to date will all training and on all products to ensure you are trained to complete your day-to-day role.

•    Ensure you comply with Health & Safety regulations, being responsible for your own plus your colleague‘s safety on site

•    Keep good housekeeping standards in all areas, ensuring waste is discarded in appropriate manner.

•    Undertake flexible working hours to meet deadlines.

•    Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management.

Skills/Requirements:

• Ability to complete training on one of the Machine Operative functions.

• Experienced forklift operative/driver with licence

• Team player who will work with others to achieve company goals.
