RecruitmentPlus has an excellent opportunity for a Health and Safety Officer to be based in Co. Meath. You’ll be a member of the Team in QESH and be responsible for the overseeing of Health & Safety standards working within the business.

Salary: Competitive €40k – €50k DOE + Benefits


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Management of risk assessments, site plans, training and awareness campaigns, monthly safety bulletins, safety alerts etc within the safety management system.

  • Regular site walks to make it easy and practical for all employees to sustain the desired H&S behaviours, including advice/support and pragmatic approach on solving safety issues (e.g., lead safety walks)

  • To ensure all health and safety legislative requirements are fulfilled on all sites in conjunction with the site safety team. This is inclusive of incident investigation.

  • Work with the ERT leader and conduct regular practice exercises of the Safe Action Plan, the Incident Management Plan, Safety exercises at the plant.

  • Data management to review and trend incidents and producing documents (policies, risk assessments, procedures, manuals, statements, checklists, etc.)

  • To assist in the identification of H&S training needs for employees and to develop and ensure delivery of training (e.g. manual handling, VDU assessments)


Requirements or Skills:

  • Diploma or higher in Safety, Health & Welfare at Work

  • Appropriate experience (minimum 2 years) from a previous similar role coupled with a positive attitude to H&S will be considered
