About Us:

RecruitmentPlus is an engineering specialist recruitment agency and we are currently working with a large reputable manufacturing facility in Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan which is looking for a Health and Safety Officer based in Co Monaghan. The site is ISO 14001 certified.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Promote a positive OHS culture across the company.

• Support the implementation of OHS safety goals as per the company‘s safety statement.

• Carrying out OHS inspections, producing risk assessments, auditing, investigating, recording and reporting accidents, incidents and near-misses promptly, ensuring any corrective actions are implemented without delay.

• Complete inspections of operational equipment and facilities.

• Manage the annual review of the company safety statement.

• Completion of health & safety records for the company.

• Carry out toolbox talks and training with employees as required.

• Analyse company training requirements for employees, ensuring necessary training is organised and training records are up to date.

• Sourcing products relevant to OHS aspects.

• Any other functions deemed relevant by your line manager.

Requirements or Skills:

• Occupational Health Safety qualification or international recognised body i.e. IOSH, OSHA.

• Knowledge of current OHS legislation and best practice.

• Health and Safety management experience is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Good analysis, judgment, and problem-solving skills along with an ability to input effectively into decision making.
