Location: Based in Co Meath but commutable from Louth, and Dublin


Requirements or Skills:

  • If you are a highly self-motivated and driven professional with strong ability to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service and account management, you could be the ideal candidate for this position.

  • Developing trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients and expanding the relationships with existing customer by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competitors.

  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements

  • Acquire a thorough understanding of products and services

  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams

  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust

  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships

  • Cold calling potential customers, establishing customer needs and selling products accordingly

  • 25 telephone calls are required daily along with contact with up to and not limited to 10 Lead /Prospects weekly.

  • Acknowledge and following up within 24 hours on sales enquiries and sending out information to the customer.

  • Following up on leads generated by other departments

  • Working to monthly sales and revenue targets as set by Sales Director

  • Entering all required data for sales onto the company system – updating NetSuite and inputting information on customers

  • Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale

  • Responding to incoming email, fax and phone enquiries within 24 hours

  • Acting as a contact between existing and potential markets

  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales

  • Gathering market and customer information and discuss opportunities with the Sales Director and purchasing

  • Representing trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations

  • Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy and ultimately the customer being satisfied with customer service.

  • Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards

  • Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors and relaying to sales director/purchasing

  • Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies

  • Working as part of a team to accomplishing related results as needed

  • Creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer

  • Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets

  • Feeding future buying trends back to the Sales Director

  • Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues

  • Complete a once a year stock take on a Saturday / Sunday

  • Confidentiality is required in relation to all customers details and supppliers details. Under no circumstance is any third party to receive any information relating to customers or suppliers details.

  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, the Key Account Manager may be required to perform other duties as deemed reasonable and necessary.
