RecruitmentPlus has a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Machine Operator to join a market-leading organisation based in Navan, Co. Meath.

This is offered on a permanent basis with full training provided. Weekly rotating shifts 6am – 2.30pm and 2.30pm – 10pm. Experience operating forklift is required, previous experience with manufacturing computer-controlled machinery is advantageous.

Benefits: €14.67 p/hr, Weekly pay, increasing annual leave, starting on 23 days, Pension

Role/ Key Responsibilities:

•    Work in all areas of the factory, drive your workflow to ensure the team you are working with is working to a high standard and meeting targets.

•    Complete training on all functions of the role and actively participate within the team ensuring good communication, accurate transfer of information and maintaining high standards.

•    Accurate setting up of any machine to ensure start up is completed on time.

•    Ensure all data to be recorded is accurate and up to date.

•    Communicate with shift coordinators, leaders, and team to ensure they are aware of any issues within your designated area.

•    Ensure all targets are achieved, keep up to date on knowledge of all products & follow work instructions in all areas.

•    Ensure you comply with Health & Safety regulations being responsible for your own plus your colleague‘s safety on site.

•    Ensure quality guidelines are followed for all areas.

•    Undertake flexible working hours to meet deadlines.

•    Keep good housekeeping standards in all areas, ensure waste is discarded in appropriate manner.

•    Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management.

Skills/Requirements:

• Experienced forklift driver/operator with license

• Experience of operating manufacturing computer-controlled machines is an advantage

• Team player who will work with others to achieve company goals.

• Hardworking with an ability to meet deadlines.

• Customer focused attitude

• Ability to follow instruction.

• Ability to work on own initiative.

• Effective communication skills

• Good problem-solving ability.
