Maintenance Technician/Fitter

RecuitmentPlus has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician/Fitter to join our client‘s team, based in Co. Wexford. The Maintenance Technician/Fitter will report to the Maintenance Manager.

The successful candidate will have previous experience within a maintenance role in production/manufacturing and be a team player working both day and evening shifts 8am-4pm and 4pm – 12 midnight.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve faults on an automated process line and ancillary services.

• Closely monitor the operating performance of all processing and packaging equipment

• To intervene when a fault is detected or as soon as any deterioration in performance occurs and effect corrective action based on your best judgment.

• Record and investigate issues, carry out route cause analysis, communicate to the maintenance and production teams.

• Ensure that PM‘s are carried out and documented and that all documentation is accurate, up to date and readily available.

• Support the installation and commissioning of all new equipment.

• To maintain standards in any areas in which you are working and comply with the requirements of the quality management system including the production facility and the maintenance workshop.

• Co-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies.

Skills/Requirements:

• A qualified Maintenance Fitter/Technician/Mechanic OR previous relevant experience will also be considered.

• Ideally 2-3 years‘ experience within a factory production/manufacturing environment

• Mechanically minded and enjoys a hands-on role.

• Able to work with foresight and have a flexible attitude.

• Able to troubleshoot and problem solve.

• A team player with a professional manner with excellent communication skills while working independently and within the larger team and across the business
