Maintenance Technician

RecuitmentPlus has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our client‘s team, based in Co. Meath. The Maintenance Technician will report to the General Manager.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical systems as required.

• Maintenance Management System administration.

• Participate in Maintenance Management meetings and workshops.

• System owner of complete systems e.g. ventilation, MV, LV etc.

• Provide On-Call cover on a rostered basis.

• Completion of Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance.

• Control Safe Work Permit and other safety registers.

• Participate in Health and Safety meetings and management of assigned actions resulting from action plans.

• Prepare and review internal procedures, method statement and risk assessments.

• Ensure Health and Safety and Quality compliance.

• Review and approve external contractors‘ procedures, method statements and risk assessments for their works on site.

• Responsible for the management of local contracts.

• Manage contractors during maintenance operations.

• Assess quality of work completed by Contractors.

• Work with Engineers and suppliers to identify and solve problems and to improve the reliability of tolling systems.

• Support the Management team in delivery of the Operations and Maintenance agreement.

• Improve Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance systems.

• Assist with budget and expenditure reports.

• Manage and undertake improvement work to enhance equipment reliability, documentation and maintainability.

• Deliver Inductions and Toolbox talks.

• Develop and manage small projects.

• Other maintenance activities as directed.

Skills/Requirements:

• Full or Part Qualified Electrical Qualification.

• Safe Pass.

• Ability to plan, organise and supervise planned/preventative maintenance programs.

• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

• Computer Literacy – Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook in particular.

• Good problem solving skills.

• Clean Driver‘s License.

Desirable Skills

• Tolling IT Systems (Software/Hardware).

• Experience in a similar role.

• MEWPS.

• Working at Heights.

• Hi-AB/Lorry Loader.

• H&S Related Training.
