RecruitmentPlus are delighted to be recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team of a leading equipment manufacturer in Co. Louth. The Engineer will focus on improving production efficiency through analysing current operations and working closely with the R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and H&S departments.

Great central location easily commutable from within Louth, Monaghan, Armagh, Down, Meath, parts of Cavan and north Dublin.


  • Mechanical Engineering Degree.

  • Green Belt certified Lean Six Sigma, Black Belt will be an advantage.

  • 3+ years experience in manufacturing or production environment.

  • Good knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, assembly processes, work instructions and safe working practices.

  • Great communication and problem solving skills with an appetite to achieve goals and progress.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support and assist with improvements in production processes through analysing data and understanding current processes and needs.

  • Work with R&D department and implement manufacturing of new products within optimum timeframes.

  • Lead Kaizen events, including training and implementation of lean manufacturing tools and concepts such as 6S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Total Productive Maintenance plus others.

  • Manage, roll-out and write procedures for continuous improvement efforts.

  • Look at possible future short and long-term issues and seek to identify or eliminate. Work closely with other managers to develop support structures and be involved in staff education and training.
