Mechanical Engineer

RecruitmentPlus are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work with our client based near Macroom, Co. Cork. The successful candidate will be working within a busy production engineering team, working with clients to ensure efficient project resolutions.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Interacting with customers to deliver cost effective technical engineering solutions for their business needs.

• Collaborate with clients, other engineers, our sub contractors, our suppliers, and our in house team to ensure that all projects undertaken are completed on time, within budget and to the client/customers satisfaction.

• Scheduling for projects and resource planning as per client/customer brief.

• Accuracy and attention to detail when it comes to maintaining and keeping record of all process steps.

Skills/Requirements:

• 3rd Level qualification, Minimum of level 7/8, in a applicable engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Precision or Manufacturing.

• Minimum of 2/3 years‘ experience in an engineering role, ideally within a similar environment but various backgrounds will be considered.

• Be technically inclined with a proven ability to solve problems within a mechanical design engineering environment.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Strong time keeping, organisational skills and attention to detail essential.

• Experience in using 2D and 3D modelling software applications such as CAD, AutoCAD etc.

• Be flexible, dynamic with excellent interpersonal skills.

• Strong ability in reading technical drawings essential.
