Medical Internal Key Account Manager

RecruitmentPlus has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Key Account Manager to work with our client based in Co. Meath. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for selling our clients products and services to customers including individuals, businesses, and government organisations. Sales may be domestic or international, or a combination of both.



  • Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competitors.

  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.

  • Acquire a thorough understanding of client‘s products and services.

  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.

  • Cold calling potential customers, establishing customer needs and selling products accordingly.

  • Acknowledge and following up within 24 hours on sales enquiries and sending out information to the customer.

  • Following up on leads generated by other departments.

  • Working to monthly sales and revenue targets as set by Sales Director

  • Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale

  • Responding to incoming email, fax and phone enquiries within 24 hours

  • Gathering market and customer information and discuss opportunities with the Sales Director and purchasing.

  • Representing at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations

  • Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy and ultimately the customer being satisfied with company customer service.

  • Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors and relaying to sales director/purchasing.

  • Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions

  • Creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer.

  • Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.

  • Feeding future buying trends back to the Sales Director

  • Complete a once-a-year stock take on a Saturday / Sunday

  • Confidentiality is required in relation to all customers details and suppliers‘ details. Under no circumstance is any third party to receive any information relating to customers or suppliers‘ details.

  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, the Key Account Manager may be required to perform other duties as deemed reasonable and necessary by management.



  • 3 years‘ experience in a similar role

  • Proficient in NetSuite

  • Target driven – work to KPI‘s

  • Team player
