JOB DESCRIPTION:

Part-Time Clinic Nurse – Dublin 2

 

Permanent role

22.5-hour week

€24-28 per hour

 

About:

Our client are a two-doctor medical practice engaged full-time in the practice of travel medicine and work to maintain the health of those travelling abroad, particularly to the tropical zones of Asia, Latin America and Africa. Patients include holidaymakers, businesspeople, government employees, aid workers and missionaries.

 

 

Working Hours:

  • Monday 9am – 5.30pm

  • Tuesday 9am – 5.30pm

  • Wednesday 9am – 5.30pm

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the Medical Director to provide an efficient and friendly travel vaccination service including:

  • Administration of travel vaccines to patients

  • Medical data input into the clinic‘s database (currently Helix Practice Manager)

 

Knowledge and qualifications

  • Fully qualified RGN and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland

  • Minimum three years post-qualification work experience

  • Experience working in a community setting (e.g. General Practice) preferable

 

Further Requirements:

  • Fluent English both spoken and written

  • Attention to detail is critical for this role, particularly with the verification of key patient data

  • Experience working with databases, (preferably a GP-specific database eg: Helix Practice Manager)

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Can-do attitude and the ability to multi-task

  • Understanding of the necessity for confidentiality/data protection

  • Effective team worker

  • Professional, motivated, enthusiastic and friendly
