RecruitmentPlus, on behalf of our client are recruiting for an Operations Manager based in Co. Cavan.

Responsibilities will include:

Management:

• Supervise, manage and organise concrete production from our two concrete plants

• Ensure concrete plants are operating at maximum capacity

• Ensure concrete plants are staffed adequately with cover for shipping and batching

• Supervise and organise staff for holiday cover and relief work etc

• Organise, supervise and liaise with all truck drivers

• Visit customers and sites as necessary to ensure service and quality is maintained to the highest standards

• Ensure all company health and safety requirements are adhered to and paperwork updated Engage and liaise with technicians re mix designs, customer requirements and site organisation

• Supervise and assist with the maintenance of EN206 Quality Standard for concrete

• Ensure large concrete pours are organised correctly, managing trucks, site access, aggregate supply to the plants, quality of concrete and sufficient supply

Maintenance

• Ensure both plants are maintained correctly and kept in excellent working order

• Organise and supervise all regular preventative maintenance and breakdown emergency maintenance

• Liaise with garage manager with regard to plant maintenance and parts

• Supervise and organise any mechanical issues with readymix trucks in conjunction with garage manager

• Supervise and organise all mechanical records and RSA requirements in conjunction with garage manager

• Attend road traffic accidents or roadside breakdowns and resolve any issues related

Financial

• Supervise all sates and ensure all cash customers are charged the correct rates for concrete

• Supervise, in conjunction with plant dispatcher, all one-off cash sales for scheduling

• Supervise and sign off on all operatives’ timesheets in the concrete plants

• Supervise and examine all readymix trucks and their drivers for eligibility of bonus scheme on a weekly basis. Any drivers that are not eligible for the bonus must be identified

Requirements or Skills:

• Extensive experience with diesel machinery.

• Experience working with quarry machinery a distinct advantage.

• Trained in heavy plant equipment.

• Ability to work as part of a team and without supervision.

• Full clean drivers license.
