Description of Role:

Our client is now seeking an operations manager to join their thriving business. This role is with a well-established healthcare company with an excellent reputation with both their customers and employees. The role is to lead and manage a team of approximately 15 across Warehouse and Logistics, IT and Technical support, and Service departments.

Requirements:

• Ideally candidates will have robust operations and warehouse management experience. Previous experience working in a distribution organisation would be advantageous. As this role is responsible for IT, candidates will need to be IT savvy and have previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems and ERP systems.

• The operations team work with a very large number of product lines, this role will therefore need someone with robust and efficient warehouse management system experience and a solid understanding of supply chain.

• Team management experience. This role will act as team champion for the operations team, it may suit candidates at ops team lead or ops team supervisor level looking to take the next step into an ops manager role.

• This is a busy and varied role and you will be joining an organisation in a key growth phase so our client is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious leader ready to join the senior leadership team and help support their expansion.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for:

• Management of the Warehouse, IT, Service division and Tech support teams.

• Maintaining high performance of the service-related processes.

• Ensuring systems and best practice procedures are in place to support excellent service delivery

• Working with the senior leadership team to ensure the operations department are optimally placed to deliver on the company‘s business goals.

• Delivering service projects on time and within budget

• Team management, including recruitment and retention, performance appraisals, training and mentoring.
