Packing Operative

Location: Drogheda

Salary: €17.83 p/hr and weekly pay!

• Duration: immediate start up until Christmas

• Shift: 12 Hours shifts. 3 days on / 3 days off

Recruitment Plus are seeking temporary General Operatives and Packers for our Drogheda based client. This Irish owned company is based on the Donore Road in Drogheda it is easily commutable from surrounding areas by public transport or car, located 5 minutes from the M1 with free on-site parking.

You will be required to work on a fast-paced manual & automated packing line on 12-hour shifts, day & night. Previous factory/warehouse and machine operation experience is desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of the team to carry out all aspects of production.

• Pack products efficiently ensuring that products are up to standard by carrying out accurate checks.

• Operate machines in a safe manner.

• Stack & shrink wrap pallet and label with correct product type.

• Fill out paperwork as required upon completion of packing process.

• Carry out all duties in accordance with health and safety regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and standard work instructions (SWIs) /product specifications.

• Other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Previous operative experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment desirable but not essential.

• Excellent attention to detail

• A team player with flexibility

• Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to follow directions and also work on own initiative and multitask.

• Valid manual handling certificate is required, however manual handling training can be organised onsite.
