RecruitmentPlus has a fantastic opportunity for a Production Scheduler/Planner to work with our client based in Co. Meath.
The Production Scheduler/Planner will be responsible for production scheduling/planning activities in our client‘s sites, directing and coordinating the execution of the daily production schedule in partnership with manufacturing and customer demands.

Role/Responsibilities:

Developing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory.

Providing the plant with a daily / weekly / monthly production plan consistent with the plant capacity and sales forecast.

Determining the desired inventory levels for finished goods down to the pack size including safety stock levels.

Utilize the production capacity, taking into consideration the sales forecast, historical sales, and new business opportunities. Analyse and identify risks associated with the options built into the Master Production Plan, including manufacturing lead times.

Make delivery commitments on MTO products, which involve checking uncommitted material and availability of capacity.

Maintain finished goods inventory at target levels in ensure high service levels, i.e., product availability.

Ensure coordination with production personnel to execute Production Plan on a weekly and monthly basis.

Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan. Identify gaps and drive solutions, including a metric on production performance to the requested production schedule. Develop reporting of key metrics.

Arrange Inter-Company transfers of goods between 4 sites.

Cover other roles within the Planning team where business need requires.

Deliver information and updates to Customer Service Manager and internal customers on request.
Skills/Requirements:
-
Preferred minimum of 2 years‘ experience in a similar role.

Knowledge of Microsoft Package in particular Excel
-
SAP experience an advantage.

Excellent numeric and analytical skills
-
Team player who will work with others to achieve company goals.

Excellent communication skills
-
Strong organisational and administrative skills, with high attention to detail

Highly motivated with proven ability to work on own initiative.
Salary:

€35k + pension
