RecruitmentPlus have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join the team of a leading heavy equipment manufacturing organisation in Co. Louth.

As Project Manager you will be leading complex projects that resolve identified business needs, deliver project targets and facilitate an effective and efficient project portfolio management. The focus will be on operational changes of a manufacturing site.

Requirements:

  • Must have 10 years experience as a Project Manager managing end to end projects.

  • Third Level qualification in Project and/or Change Management or similar discipline preferred.

  • Project Management qualifications e.g. PRINCE, PMI, Scrum, PMP, etc.

  • Manufacturing operations background and Lean/Six Sigma experience will be considered as an advantage.

  • Proven in depth project management experience using a variety of project management methodologies.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management, communications, implementing changes to business processes, technologies and systems.

  • Critical thinking, decision making and Business English requirement.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing, leading and delivering large and complex projects including multiple product lines.

  • Provide the main interface and maintain a confident relationship with the project owner, steering group, customer and other participants in the project.

  • Ensure all contractual and technical obligations are fulfilled.

  • Deliver the project results as agreed with the steering group.

  • Plan and coordinate all the activities during project execution, such as resourcing, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, logistics, installation and commissioning.

  • Drive performance management, use KPI‘s to track progress, monitoring actual performance versus plan promoting awareness to drive improvement.

  • Tracking project tasks, creation of status reports, and delivery of same to the Operations team.

  • Ensure that all documents such as test reports, certificates, manuals and other necessary documents are ready before delivery.

  • Implementing a strategy to support adoption of the change management techniques within the business and assessing change readiness of the operational team and identifying key stakeholders.

  • Creating change/project management plans for projects or change initiatives with particular emphasis on – compliance, training needs analysis, training plan, implementation tracking, communication and other associated change considerations.

  • Developing change management processes and tools to support the integration and engagement with change management principles.

  • Identifying opportunities and providing expertise to build resilience to change across the organisation.

  • Ensuring goals are met in areas including on time delivery, customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance.

  • Promote a culture of high accountability, empowerment and high engagement.
