Purchasing Officer, West Cork

RecruitmentPlus are now seeking applicants for a Purchasing Officer for our client based in West Cork.
This is a fully office-based role.
Responsibilities:

Manage supplier relationships on behalf of the company.

Negotiate costs and delivery lead times with suppliers.

Manage the documentation associated with purchase orders, clearing invoices, ensuring job numbers are allocated to each invoice.

Analysing stock reports and monitoring stock levels.
-
Managing the buying of stock from overseas.
-
Overseeing and monitoring contracts with suppliers.
-
Sourcing new suppliers
-
Liaise with Sales team members regarding their customers‘ enquiries and order status.

Managing and purchasing all types of PPE and other consumables as needed.
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working in Procurement/Buying/Purchasing in the Engineering or construction industry – or similar areas.

Analytical and strategic thinking skills.

Excellent Written & Verbal communication and negotiation skills
-
Be organised and able to plan ahead.
-
Computer Literacy, using Excel, Word, Outlook and other applications in order to carry out your work duties.

Good Numeracy skills
Salary: €30,000-€40,000 depending on earning
