RecruitmentPlus, on behalf of our client are delighted to be recruiting for a Quality Manager to join an award-winning team in Oldcastle, Co. Meath. This role is with an established and successful industry leading local business.

The successful candidate will enjoy a hands-on role, providing leadership and management for the quality function and sustain the quality attitude across the business. Responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, implementing and communicating a comprehensive Quality Management System at all levels. They will also maintain documented information, ensuring product quality meets standards and guarantees complete customer satisfaction.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: €55-€65k DOE

Based on-site

Role / Core Responsibilities:

• Manage the Quality Team and develop and implement the Quality Improvement Strategy Plan

• Work directly with OEM Customers on existing and New Product Introduction projects using the relevant support tools e.g. 8D Reports, APQP, PPAP and technical documents

• Managing the internal quality audit processes including company calibration register

• Implementing and executing inspection and evaluation methods to ensure that products adhere closely to company and customer standards and determining reasons behind any issues found in these inspections.

• Take the lead on customer and standards certification body audits

• Point of contact for customer quality queries and resolution of customer complaints

• Compile and present Monthly Quality KPIs and analysis to drive improvement in the business

• Work to develop the standards and competencies of the Quality Team on an ongoing basis

• Support site wide process capability studies to drive Quality Improvement projects

• Support FMEA activities and facilitate close out of risk reduction actions

• Develop and maintain Quality and Environmental standards compliance

Requirements:

• Degree level in Science or Engineering

• 5 years‘ experience in a busy manufacturing environment; FMCG, automotive, or regulated business environment

• Good communication and influencing skills

• Ability to work on own Initiative with good attention to detail

• Ability to lead and facilitate problem solving activities

• A Lean thinker with a continuous improvement mindset

• Knowledge and application of quality and environmental standards

• Experience of APQP and PPAP systems in a manufacturing environment

• Customer Focus (Internal and External)

• I.T. Proficient e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, reporting writing and presentation

• Experience of working with CMM and Ultrasonic measuring equipment an advantage
