Our Client, HealthTech Ireland are seeking to add to their team and are currently recruiting a Senior Executive.

About HealthTech Ireland:

HealthTech Ireland, is an independent trade association representing manufacturers, developers and distributors of health technology products and solutions to the health system in Ireland. Our members provide digital, diagnostic and device solutions to help people live healthier lives. The association supports policy development and advocacy to champion innovation and access to health technologies, that address a broad spectrum of healthcare needs.

Role Overview:

HealthTech Ireland is seeking a motivated and self-driven Senior Executive to join our team and work closely with the CEO and executive. This role is critical in supporting the growth and development of our organisation through excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Working Group Management

  • Lead and support a number of the HealthTech Ireland Working Groups.

  • Collaborate closely with members to identify and address key issues and opportunities.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and procedural correctness of meetings and discussions as per the Terms of Reference of the group.

  • Project manage programmes of work and annual objectives for the groups.

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with senior leaders and stakeholders from the medical technology and healthcare sectors, including the healthcare system in a professional manner.

  • Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders including and not exclusive to members, the HSE, Hospitals, Government, academia, other equivalent trade associations throughout the ecosystem as well as national and international organisations, such as the HPRA, HIQA, and Embassies.

  • Represent members at relevant working groups in MedTech Europe.

Project and Event Management

  • Plan and deliver within planned timelines key events, including member education sessions, roundtables, and the annual HealthTech Ireland Symposium.

  • Assist with Identifying key opinion leaders and managing event budgets and sponsorship.

  • Plan the use of budgets and resources to achieve desired outputs.

 

Communications and Marketing

  • Deliver marketing and communication pieces relevant to work streams and the organisation.

  • Ensure the membership platform is kept up to date.

  • Ensure planned and continuous communication with members through direct communication, updates, progress reports, and addressing their concerns and challenges.

Business Development

  • On-going: Ensure the retention and growth of the member base by highlighting the value and benefits of membership.

  • Identify and engage with potential new member companies and stakeholders to include professional associates that bring additional value to members

  • Support the delivery of the 2024-2027 HealthTech Ireland Strategy.

Requirements:

  • Advanced university degree or extensive relevant work experience in the healthcare sector.

  • Highly competent individual with excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and team player mentality.

  • Broad knowledge of the Irish healthcare system.

  • Flexibility and well-developed time management and prioritisation skills.

  • Marketing, project management and business development experience beneficial.

  • Knowledge of digital health/eHealth beneficial.

 

The person we‘re looking for:

The successful candidate needs to be a self-motivated, outputs and objective-led person with excellent communication skills. As with any small but growing organisation, the role requires someone who can demonstrate the capability to be agile, with the ability to be adaptable and “wear many hats”. With many critical competing priorities, candidates must be able to demonstrate a track record of understanding the nuances of such a role and ability to adapt, prioritise and deliver within timelines. As a trade association with a small executive team and large, broad diverse base, this person will be a strong team player.

Role: Part-time position (32 hours per week) with a competitive pro-rata salary.

Location: Ideally based in the greater Dublin region for regular meeting attendance, with the position primarily home-based.
