Specification Manager

RecruitmentPlus has an excellent opportunity for a Specification Manager to work with our client. This role will be covering areas nationwide. The Specification Manager will be responsible for generating and managing specifications and designs.

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Specify and promote technical products, services, installations, and configurations to assigned customers for specific technical product and/or application of product.

  • Record and maintain customer and project data on company CRM system/ Train on any company software that may be required to assist you in your role.

  • Provides technical interface between customer and company.

  • Research customer technical specifications and requirements with current or potential technical specifications of company products.

  • Attend technical sales briefings with customer.

  • Prepare pipeline forecasts.

  • Investigate new applications or improvements to products with customers and other departments.

  • Attend trade fairs and seminars, co-ordinate stands etc / Co-ordinate samples for potential customers.

  • Liaise with architects, developers, building contractors and other bodies.

  • Assist other departments as requested to ensure company objectives are obtained.

  • Tasks may require flexible working hours and you may be asked to travel to our other sites from time to time.

  • Provide sound technical knowledge to act as the main technical contact advising those involved in specification or requiring technical assistance.

  • Liaising with architects and other professionals where technical advice is required.

  • Develop the role making initial contact with clients and building a database of the contacts.

  • Develop and present CPD presentations on a variety of subjects relating to energy efficiency in building design.

  • Make recommendations to architects on receipt of drawings.

  • Interact with clients/customers on regular basis by phone/email and by making personal onsite visits to clients/customers.

  • Support the administration function of the Technical Office.

  • Assist in the preparation and issuing of company reports where required.

  • Continuously look at ways to develop systems to improve the performance and efficiencies of your role.

  • Deal with correspondence in an efficient and confidential manner.

  • Organize and attend trade exhibitions and attend all appropriate meetings.

 

Skills/Requirements:

  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.

  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to work proactively on own initiative.

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with ability to meet deadlines.

  • Be a team player working with others to achieve company goals.

  • Experienced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package.

 

Salary:

  • Salary Circa €50k per annum plus car, pension, laptop, phone.
