RecruitmentPlus has an amazing opportunity for a Technical Advisor to work for our client based in Co Meath. The Technical Advisor will be responsible for product specification, technical applications support, product and applications development, technical literature creation and marketing support. Product certification support.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Irish and UK product specification.

• Provide technical applications support/product and applications development support.

• Contribute to the design and creation of technical literature.

• Support the marketing function where required.

• Interact with clients/customers.

• Liaise with product manufacturers and suppliers.

• Assist with administration associated with role.

• Report on specific projects.

• Record and maintain customer and project data on company CRM system.

• Undertake any training that maybe required to complete your role.

• Be flexible in work practices, be creative and innovative in responding to changes in requirements of work.

• Assist other departments as requested to ensure company objectives are obtained.

• Train on any company software that may be required to assist you in your role.

• Prepared to travel where necessary.

• Attend in a support role at trade exhibitions.

• Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management.

Skills/Requirements:

• Experience with CAD or thermal calculation procedures would be an advantage.

• A relevant experience in an Architectural Technologist/Building Science related discipline would be a distinct advantage, this position may suit a prospective candidate who can demonstrate relevant experience, a technical aptitude, and a keen interest to further their career in a professional environment.

• Willingness to become technically competent, with support and obtain a third level qualification to achieve a sound knowledge of building physics, construction methods and building service topics such as thermal performance, air tightness, and condensation risks in new build and renovating building environments.

• Building service education would be advantageous

• Enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent time management skills.

• Good IT skills with experience knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.

• Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

• Team player capable of working with others to achieve company goals.

• Excellent administration, communication, and organization skills.

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
