RecruitmentPlus are delighted to be partnering with a leading UK mail order company who are seeking a highly organised and proactive Warehouse Manager to lead the warehouse team.

This role will suit a Warehouse Manager or those with strong leadership experience who enjoy a dynamic environment and can lead the team to manage warehouse operations while ensuring efficiency, safety and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in warehouse / supply chain management or a similar role with strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management and logistics.

  • Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.

  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order processing and shipping.

  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations and H&S standards.

  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy.

  • Implement effective inventory management systems to minimize discrepancies and losses.

  • Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.

  • Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate warehouse staff.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and employee engagement.

  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and performance.

  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, coordinating with, carriers and customer.

  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment, addressing any issues or delays promptly.

  • Enforce health and safety policies, conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments.

  • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes.

  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology to streamline operations and track performance.

  • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.

  • Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
