RecruitmentPlus are delighted to be partnering again with one of Ireland‘s leading employers who are seeking a Research, Development and Innovation Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Kingscourt. The Mechanical Engineer will join the research and development department, playing a key role in the on-going success and innovation of this global organisation while developing products with an eye to sustainability. The company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who can test and develop products and over time grow within the innovation division.

Requirements:

• Hold a ME or BEng level 8 in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years relevant experience.

• Working knowledge of Solidworks & AutoCad.

• Knowledge of FEA, ideally ANSYS, EN certification & regulatory compliance.

• Have a hands on approach in mechanical testing, building test rigs, experience fitting, using tools.

• Ability to manage multiple projects through to completion, with excellent communication skills.

• Open to national and overseas travel and hold full clean Irish/UK/EU licence.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Project manage new product development and product improvements.

• Execute design, prototyping and testing activities with a focus on the maintenance of accurate documentation.

• Work collaboratively with other engineers and departments.

• Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate documentation.

• Record and detail development data.

• Suggest improvements based on test results and observations.

• Analyse and review test data to optimise design and product performance.

• Conduct research to stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies.

• Operate in compliance with ISO 37301, 9001, company handbook and Code of Conduct.

• Follow the appropriate EN standards and country codes for product development.
