RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client are seeking a capable Field Service Engineer to travel to customer sites to service, install and at times provide training on their equipment. This role will involve 50% travel, throughout Ireland and with short trips to UK & EU, sometimes with short notice.

Requirements:

• 1+ years experience in a field service role working on electromechanical equipment.

• Responsible professional with strong communication skills and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

• Experience using a structured support process.

• Proven track record in producing relevant report material.

• Automation and controls experience.

• Strong mechanical and/or CAD knowledge.

• Electrical wiring knowledge and associated standards.

• Troubleshooting of electrical circuits.

• Strong relationship management skills, excellent communicator both oral and in writing with commercial awareness.

• Has strong problem solving skills, works as a team player and always with integrity.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform start-up, installation and operator training for installations of industrial equipment.

• Troubleshoot (remotely or onsite) installed equipment to identify and correct technical problems (mechanical, electronic, operational)

• Provide information to engineering as needed to escalate ongoing problems.

• Develop positive customer relationships

• Schedule and prioritise service trips amongst global team.

• Prepare service call and expense reports in an accurate and timely manner.

• Perform setup and maintenance for in-house showroom equipment.

• Develop and maintain product documentation, training material and customer training courses.

• Conduct formal training classes with customers.

• Conduct Application studies as required.

• Develop electrical drawings and schematics as required.
