RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client have an opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Engineer or similar to join the business in Dundalk, Co. Louth.

Requirements:

• Mechanical Engineering or similar relevant degree.

• CAD modelling and drafting. (CREO preferred)

• Use of PDM systems.

• Work placements in industry. (Heavy engineering/mobile equipment preferred).

• Design of steel structures, welded fabrications, sheet metal components & hydraulic systems.

• Cost analysis, bills of materials.

• Use of Google apps; Gmail, sheets, docs, slides. Microsoft applications; Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

• Motivated self-starter with good time management and an interest to learn.

• Excellent attention to detail and methodical manner.

• Good communicator, ability to interact with a range of different internal departments as well as external customers and suppliers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carry out design work as required on PLC (Product Lifetime Care), DTC (Design to cost), NPD (New Product Development), ECO (Engineering Change Orders) and EWR (Engineering Work Requests).

• Create detailed drawings for designs including Weld and General Assemblies.

• Create BOM (Bill of Material) data for all fabrications and assemblies designed.

• Responsible for own safety and should be aware of the safety of others.

• Responsible to make employer aware of any unsafe areas, acts or equipment.

• Maintain and improve the engineering drawings and documentation to a high standard.
