RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client are seeking a Division Manager to join their Senior Management team at a time of growth for their company. A highly successful Irish brand and organisation, this will be a new appointment to take overall responsibility for the management, performance and growth of this business area.

It will suit an experienced and commercially focused engineering/ heavy construction materials manufacturing professional who can provide strong leadership with technical knowledge to lead the manufacturing operations while bringing improvements in efficiency, quality, programme delivery and profitability.

Requirements:

• Experience within the precast concrete, concrete manufacturing or construction industry.

• Proven experience managing a production or operational division.

• Strong understanding of precast manufacturing processes.

• Strong commercial and financial awareness.

• Experience managing projects, budgets and personnel.

• Ability to read and understand structural and architectural drawings.

• Strong understanding of quality control and construction standards.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

• Strong leadership and decision-making ability.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable Qualifications/Skills

• Degree or qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.

• Knowledge of Irish and UK construction markets.

• Experience dealing directly with main contractors, consultants and developers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation and performance of the precast division.

• Oversee all precast concrete production activities.

• Oversee the design and detailing process from project award through to manufacture.

• Ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

• Maintain the highest standards of product quality and compliance.

• Take a proactive leadership role in health and safety across the precast operation.

• Lead, motivate and develop the precast team.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
